MEET OUR STAFF
Carmen Arrúe is the on-site director in Oviedo. Originally from Cuba, She grew up in the U.S. where she completed undergraduate and graduate degrees in anthropology. Arrúe has been in Asturias for more than twenty years and has been the site director of the Oviedo program since 1995.

VISITING FACULTY MEMBER—SPRING 2007
Professor Leonardo García-Pabón has been on the faculty of the University of Oregon since 1990. He has been director of Latin American studies since 1999 and earned his doctorate in 1990 from the University of Minnesota. His teaching and research interests are primarily in the areas of Andean and Bolivian literatures.
