MEET OUR STAFF
Victor Vargas, UNLA director of academic exchanges, has been a teacher at UNLA since 1991. He was born in Mexico, but spent much of his life living abroad with his family. He oversees all academic and administrative matters related to the program at UNLA and manages all day-to-day operations on-site.

VISITING FACULTY MEMBER—FALL 2006
Michael Aguilera is a professor of sociology at the University of Oregon. He received his doctorate in 1999 from the State University of New York at Stonybrook.

VISITING FACULTY MEMBER—WINTER 2007
Mary King is professor and chair of the economics department at Portland State University . King works on the dynamics of ethnicity and gender in the labor market and economy. She holds a doctorate in economics from the University of California at Berkeley.
