a little bit about myself...
Here are some interesting things about myself in the "short and sweet" version.
I play lacrosse (going on 8 years!) I love to sing, and have been in numerous choirs for most of my life (i've been to carnegie hall in new york city!) I am a person who craves for a scene change every once in a while, and I tend to gravitate towards any type of adventure (i.e. I was a power boat instructor in Arizona for a whole summer).
I go to Ball State University which is in Muncie, Indiana. Most people have never heard of the school or the city. If you imagine Indianapolis, picture Muncie as being just an hour north and slightly east, and you've found it. Ball State is, in my opinion, underrated by most. It is a pretty liberal school, which I like, because I'm liberal myself. I'm a second-year senior double majoring in magazine writing and graphic design. I also have a minor in creative writing. I play on the women's lacrosse team, sing in the university choir, and am usually involved in various graphic design projects on campus.
I'm not sure what to expect when studying in Macerata, Italy. I know I'll face a culture shock, and it'll take some getting used to. But I feel I am a very open person, and I actually look forward to being out of my element a bit and immersing myself completely. I don't know much Italian, so I'm hoping that by being around the language and taking a class during my trip I will pick it up quickly and will be able to show off what I know when I return :) Generally, I expect that it'll be one of the best adventures yet, and I can't wait for it to start!
