Hello, I'm in Oregon
That's right, still in Oregon, writing from beautiful Corvallis where I study English and Anthropology.
This is the first summer I did not make the drive back to Boring (actual name of town), Oregon to live with my parents (Nancy and Chaz) and now eighteen-year-old sister Clair. Instead I remained in an old house which, during the school year, I share with my six roommates. The previous tenants decorated the exterior in monkey motif in honor of a since-removed monkey puzzle tree. When we moved in the place already had the name Monkey House established for itself and so we've kept that ball in play. So, after a summer spent in the Monkey House and a lifetime spent in Oregon, a trip abroad, for this long, is nearly inconceivable. As far as expectations, all that I can reasonably look for right now are chances to experience new situations among what I am confident will be wonderful people and settings.
