1st Blog Entry

Introductions.

Well, it might be a little early to begin my travel blog, seeing as how I am currently sitting at my desk at work rather than galavanting around jolly old England.  But I have never been one to turn down an opportunity to talk about myself so here goes. . . I have always been fascinated with England and now that I am a week away from actually setting foot on British soil it seems like one of my biggest dreams is coming true.  I have a lot of preconceptions about what London will be like.  Most of the history classes I have taken deal with the British Empire in some form or another, and I have been reading  any book about the city that I can get my hands on.  I know the city will differ from my expectations but that is all part of the fun of traveling, having your preconceptions smashed.  2 1/2 months seems like a long time, but I don't think it will be enough to squeeze in everything I am hoping to do.  I plan on being quite busy and seeing as much as I can.  No matter what happens though, I will find and devour London's spiciest curry.  I made this promise to myself and I will die carrying it out if I have to.  Hopefully it won't come to that but I am a determined man.  I will post more soon when I am actually in London and I'm sure that my adventures will be amazing enough to keep everyone enthralled for weeks to come.  Stay tuned. . .
